A Historic Moment for the Kiwanis Tree Farm

Mar 20, 2026 | Kiwanis Tree Farm

The Kiwanis Club of Bradford is proud to share a truly special milestone—one that only comes around once in a generation.

Our President-Elect, Mark Young, recently signed the contract for the cutting of the Kiwanis Tree Farm. This is not a routine event, but a rare opportunity that occurs roughly once every 30 years. It represents decades of careful stewardship, planning, and commitment by our club members who understood the long-term impact of this project.

In addition to finalizing the contract, the club has also received the check associated with the sale—marking a major step forward as this process begins.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Richard Dryden, whose time, effort, and dedication played an instrumental role in helping facilitate this sale. His commitment to seeing this through has made a lasting impact on both the club and the community we serve.

The Kiwanis Tree Farm stands as a powerful example of what Kiwanis is all about: investing in the future. Years ago, members planted and maintained this resource with the understanding that one day it would create meaningful support for the community. That day has arrived.

This moment allows us to reflect on the vision and dedication of past members, while also looking ahead to how these funds can continue to support our mission—serving the children and families of Bradford.

More updates will be shared as plans develop, but today we celebrate a rare and meaningful chapter in the history of our club.
