The Kiwanis Club of Bradford was proud to participate in the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce’s first-ever Women in Business Expo, held Wednesday, July 29, at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
The event brought together women-owned businesses, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders for an evening of networking, inspiration, entertainment, and celebration. It provided an opportunity to recognize the women whose leadership, creativity, and service continue to strengthen the Bradford community.
For the Kiwanis Club of Bradford, the evening was also a chance to celebrate an important part of our own history: the women who have led our club and helped advance its mission of serving children and families.
Celebrating President Stacy Williams
We were especially proud to highlight our current Club President, Stacy Williams, who began serving as president in 2025.
Through her leadership, Stacy continues a tradition established by the women who came before her—members who stepped forward to guide the club, support its volunteers, strengthen its community partnerships, and ensure that Kiwanis remains a positive force for Bradford’s children.
Her participation in the Women in Business Expo represented both the leadership of women within Kiwanis and the important role local service organizations play in building a stronger and more connected community.
A Proud History of Progress
When Kiwanis International was founded in 1915, membership was limited to men. The Kiwanis Club of Bradford received its charter in 1922 and served the community for more than six decades before women were officially welcomed as members of Kiwanis International in 1987.
Since that historic change, women have served at every level of the organization, including as club presidents, district governors, international trustees, and International President. Today, women and men work side by side throughout Kiwanis to improve the lives of children and strengthen communities around the world.

Each of these women has contributed to the club’s continuing legacy of leadership, volunteerism, mentorship, and service to the Bradford community.
Service Knows No Gender
The Women in Business Expo served as an important reminder that communities are stronger when everyone has an opportunity to participate, contribute, and lead.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Bradford work together to:
- Award scholarships to local students.
- Support children and families throughout the Bradford area.
- Partner with the Bradford Area High School Key Club on community service projects.
- Organize events that benefit local youth and nonprofit organizations.
- Build connections among people who want to make a meaningful difference in their community.
